"And Morrigan carried the raven pocked shield..."
Hot Sculpted, blown, slumped and engraved glass
31" x 20" x 9"
This is the visual representation of the passage from the Book of Invasions, the telling of the emergence of the Celtic people in Ireland, as Morrigan transforms herself into a raven and tells the hero Nuada to throw his embattled shield into the air. At which point she catches it and carries into the sky, it growing larger and larger until it blots out the sun in an eclipse.
